The information was taken from the cemetery book in l994 and many additions, corrections, and additions were made in the 2nd Edition, 2000, which includes over 100 more pages. Currently I have copies of Vol. 3, 2nd Edition; Vol. 4, Ozark Hills Friends and Neighbors, (this includes counties around Dent which includes genealogies not in Dent Co. book); Vol. 5, pictorial, 3200 photographs, and Vol. 6 (just off the press), 500 pages of history and pictures. I do get the other books from estates at times and interested persons need to check on what I have if they want a particular book. NOTICE ! ! ! Ozark Heritage, Dent Co. from Dent County. 701 pages. Ozark Heritage, Volume III, 2nd Edition Has 835 pages and many more pictures of cemeteries and gravestones than Volume III, lst Edition. Volume III is updated through the year 2000. It has all the information in Volume I plus additions, corrections, and new burials from l992 through 2000. The book is 464 pages with over 3200 pictures amongst its pages. The pictures depict life from the earliest times in Dent County to the present. It has still life drawings of people who lived in the Dent County, Missouri area and some landscapes. It is different in that as he did the drawings, the subject would tell about there life living in Dent County. It is very interesting reading. 195 pages. It is available at some libraries. His phone number is 573-729-5707 Jadwin Community History by Lois Smith This book was written by Lois Smith who was a long time resident of the Jadwin Community in Dent County, Missouri. It has many family stories and history about the area. It also tells old weather prediction tales such as "If it rained on Monday, it would rain3 days that week". There are also items about medicine such as "Scrape the soot from under the top of a wood cook stove, put in a cup, add boiling water to make tea, drink for a cure for an upset stomach".
